"The changing light
at San Francisco
is none of your East Coast light.
The light of San Francisco
is a sea light.
And in that vale of light,
the city drifts
anchorless upon the ocean. "

Obsessed. Obviously.
ReplyDeletethanks for sharing your city-love with me, Laura!
DeleteThat's such a great poem, and pretty apt. Since they're both coasts, it'd be easy to imagine that the east and the west are pretty similar, but the differences are tangible. Like the fog of San Francisco almost is.
ReplyDeleteGosh, Alison you put it so beautifully! My favorite thing about visiting a new city is the change in light. One of the many (many many) reasons I've always wanted to go to Paris.
DeleteThis is beautiful. I LOVE SF so much! So excited to move up to the bay area!
