I'm fresh outta weekend songs. What do you recommend? I need some new tunes!
weekend reading | things that made me laugh + cry (not in that order)
- one minute of silence with a former lover.
- "She hoped we would lead the kind of lives where we did stuff big enough to occasionally say, “Wow, I wish Mom was around for this." - Jacob Bernstein on losing his mother, Nora Ephron.
- little moments of daily love ... this looks familiar!
- My ideal man is the LL Bean Boyfriend. But, really.
- this 88 year old dancing lady reminded me to lighten-up!

that ll bean boyfriend tumblr is RICH. thanks for that... all productivity out the window. don't know if you're a feist fan but i've been digging "i feel it all" kind of an up beat "almost spring" thing its got goin on.
ReplyDeleteAJ, Feist's "I Feel It All" is my overly-emotional anthem! And you are so right, it is a perfect spring song.
DeleteThe Avett Brothers, always! Kick Drum Heart is always good for a pick me up, and there's a brilliant version of Laundry Room on Youtube that makes me feel like my heart is going to burst out of its ribcage. This is also the 10 year anniversary of Ani Difranco's Evolve, if you're in the mood for some gritty kickass feminism. Otherwise, I've been obsessed with the Lumineers' Stubborn Love for the last few weeks.

And suddenly, I'm liking LL Bean again.
ReplyDeleteGreat links! For me it was cry (oh Marina and Ulay!) and then laugh (LL Bean Men = swoon!) :)
ReplyDeleteArtist: Passenger, Album: All The Little Lights. He busks to get the money to produce his albums. I'm obsessed XX
