I had so much to be thankful for this weekend (and every weekend, really!) But lord, this year has been a long haul. It's made me extra appreciative of the little things that people do for me everyday. They make going after the big things possible.
Thank you for believing me when I told you I was 100% sure that what I saw in my apartment was a rat and for bringing over a trap the size of a shoebox. Also, thank you for not rolling your eyes at me when it turned out to be a tiny field mouse.
dear Hannah who works at the photo lab,
Thank you for re-scanning 108 pictures of old people at a luau with the loving care of an art historian.
dear Mike who drives the 7:30 bus to Northampton,
Thank you for dropping me off in front of my house every Tuesday as you drive the bus back to the garage. I know it's the last loop of the day and you're probably tired of dealing with people but you save me from a 20 minute walk in 24 degree weather. You're the man.
dear Andrew who works at Amherst Coffee,
Thank you for knowing just what I need when I walk into the coffee shop on Fridays. You're right, it's not coffee. It's beer.
thank you. t h a n k y o u. thank you.
