show + tell : Ceiling Fan(cy)

I don't think"if you can't beat 'em, join 'em" is a design philosophy.

But "if you can't get rid of your dated brass ceiling fan because you rent, draw more attention to it by covering the blades in aqua and gold floral print paper" definitely is.

  1. That's a pretty clever way to handle a dated fan! I wish I'd thought of doing that with some of the fixtures in our old apartment. It was built in the seventies and decorated cheaply--need I say more?

  2. If I had a ceiling fan, I would copy you!

and if I were braver, I would cover a room in that fabulous paper. :)

  3. Katie : it was so easy! I just lacquered them, used an exacto knife and spray adhesive. It's held up really well. (I originally tried rubber cement, and that was not as effective)
