make | A (Sweet) Bachelorette Gift

One of the activities that the Maids of Honor planned for Laura's bachelorette party was a lingerie guessing game. All of the attendees brought a gift for her, and she guessed who each piece is from.

I can be such a square when it comes to sexy things, so I decided to put together a box that was on the sweeter side. It was inspired by lines from the movie Sweet Home Alabama :

"what do you want to be married to me for anyhow?
"so I can kiss you anytime I want"

I repurposed a box from Anthropologie with a strip of washi tape and the first line. The second line was printed on cardstock and it was cut to fit inside the box. So, opening it is like a question and answer!

Inside is a tube of NARS lipstick in heatwave (the orangey-red poppy color from last year's J. Crew catalog) and a pair of lacy Hanky Pankys in the exact same color.

she's such a color nerd, I can't wait for her to open it tonight. until then ... shhhhh!

  2. This is a fantastic idea and just in time for me since my friend is also getting married this summer. And I think I'd love that shade of lipstick myself . . . Thanks for posting!

  3. I love this! I would never think to pair red lipstick with lingerie as a bachelorette gift but it's perfect.

I ask for a gift box every time I buy anything at Anthropologie. They're just so perfect!
