show + tell | Lace Curtains

Anything old feels so East Coast to me: old houses that become new apartments and old-lady style. You can call me Grey Gardens all day long, but when the windows are open and the breeze catches these .... mmmhmm.  If I'm going to live on this coast, I'm going to do it right. I've got the topsiders and window treatments to prove it.

(available at) IKEA, you can't beat the two-panels-for-fifteen-dollars price tag.  (p.s.) the mirror says "be brave"

  2. I'm totally with you on certain things feeling "East Coast." I grew up here, but am originally from California, and whenever my family all gets together we can just tell how some things are East Coast, and some are West Coast. I love them both, but love the differences between them even more.

    1. we don't have an IKEA close here either! So, I brought these ones in from a field trip to New Jersey (... I 'm determined like that, ha!)

  4. I love lace curtains. My mom always had some on the windows and now ours feel bare without them.

  7. Gorgeous!! Just thought you should know that even though I live thousands of miles away from you...I too am rocking those exact same IKEA curtains in Kuwait! Makes me happy that someone I admire is doing the same. (And also a little jealous, because I wish I had your floors.) ;)

God bless granny style apartments. :)
