waiting to weather the storm.

I put on my Hunters and ventured out for coffee this morning, before hurricane Sandy is due to make an appearance. School is canceled and most offices are close, so all the New Englanders are out and about - walking their dogs and raking leaves. A few old men were sitting in the wrought iron chairs outside the cafe, chatting in their rain slickers. "So far no storm! just regular ole gray." they said.

There's a special kind of person who lives in this place; unflinching and accepting.

    1. I'm glad you like it, Samantha! I think it's something about all that kakis and wood, the same color of coffee.

  4. I hope you're doing ok!!!!

Also, I think it's cute that you got iced coffee during a hurricane. When do you switch over to the warm stuff?

    1. Thanks for your well wishes, Linnea! No major commotion here - unless you count the line at Whole Foods. I'm a creature of habit and an iced-coffee drinker year round.
