Memory in Summer

"Memory in summer is always stronger because we need it to get through the rest of the year ... Trying to hold on to the good life makes everything kind of deeper"
Sherry Lefevre
The Instant Heirloom House by Joyce Wadler. New York Times, 7.30.2011.

Soak up every moment, store it in your mind. Start a reserve. Like the ants in fall. Like the camels  before they cross the dessert. Hold on to them for the leaner, less light times.

... and have a fabulous 4th of July Weekend!

  1. Oh so true. The summer in Chicago is the main reason I live here. The memories during these months are the best.
